Ben commissioned this artwork based on his involvement with Sam Lee's English Heritage project called 'Singing with the Nightingales'. This wonderful project involves musicians duetting with nightingales and, as a project volunteer, Ben would be researching the history of the birds as well as producing a piece of poetry on the theme. He wanted this artwork as inspiration before the event and a momento of it afterwards. It was wonderful to be part of such a multidisciplinary creative collaboration and Ben was delighted with the artwork!
