Commissions
Having taken commissions for a number of years, I am happy to work across a variety of media and subject matter. Commissioning an artwork makes a unique and special gift, momento or collection piece. I work closely with all my clients, attentive to what they are looking for in order to realise their vision for the piece. If you are interested in commissioning an artwork, please enquire here.
"Maria, we are absolutely blown away by this gift. It is absolutely incredible, thank you so, so much! We will definitely get it framed for our new home."
Ben commissioned this artwork based on his involvement with Sam Lee's English Heritage project called 'Singing with the Nightingales'. This wonderful project involves musicians duetting with nightingales and, as a project volunteer, Ben would be researching the history of the birds as well as producing a piece of poetry on the theme. He wanted this artwork as inspiration before the event and a momento of it afterwards. It was wonderful to be part of such a multidisciplinary creative collaboration and Ben was delighted with the artwork!
"I commissioned this charcoal picture of my Grandfather from Maria. I love her work and this is a wonderful portrayal from an old photograph where she has perfectly captured his essence."
An iconographic inspired rendition of Bl Thomas Hunt commissioned by philosophy PhD student and local chaplain, Fr Peter Wyznanski, for use in personal devotion.
"I wanted to give my Mum and Dad a special gift on their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Having seen a few of Maria's existing portraits and known her to be a creative and sensitive person, I commissioned her to create a portrait of my parents using only photographs as a reference. I'm very happy with the result and know my Mum and Dad will be touched and delighted to receive the beautiful portrait too. I highly recommend her as a portrait artist. Many thanks, Maria!"
